Salem S. Charabi (b. 1992) is a Danish-Egyptian architect graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, who runs a workshop-based practice outside of Copenhagen, Denmark. Finding materials in their near surroundings and rediscovering ancient techniques from afar, Charabi and his close-knit team of cabinet-makers celebrate a poetic approach to furniture-making that combines resources like local Danish cherry and ochre with a language shaped by a longing for what is out of grasp, time and place.
